JESSIE'S WING

A WORD FROM OUR GUEST ARTIST, JESSIE

When I first joined the internet I didn't know how to do anything on the computer.
Even sending emails was a big thrill for me.
Along the way I was introduced to graphics and have managed to make some pretty nifty things.
I have made some pretty ugly things too, but all were fun.
I sure didn't get good with my first try, but I have learned something from everything I've made.
There are many artists on the internet much better than I am, but it sure is fun learning.
I have included comments explaining how I made these pictures and
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

HOME SWEET HOME
Mom especially likes this picture because I am laying on an antique rocker that belonged to her great grandmother.
I ran this picture through filters on Adobe Photo Shop.
I was just starting to experiment with filters and found this a fun way to alter graphics to look hand painted.

JESSIE IN FLOWER
This photo was made in a new program that made all kinds of neat swirly things.
I just popped myself right in the center of one.

AT HOME
I live in Florida near the Gulf of Mexico. Beaches and sand are normal everyday things to us.
I wanted to put me in a setting where I would normally be
Then I ran the photos through filters to give it a hand done flavor.

SELF PORTRAIT
This photo is a self portrait of me in which I again experimented with different filters and layers.
I think I used 5 different filters here. I then joined all the layers together,
and created a rather stunning portrait, don't you think?

ON THE BEACH
This is another try at the beach theme that I was working on.
This time I added a t-shirt and shades for a little added humor
and used different filters to see what effects they made.

UNICORN AND JESSIE
Experimentation is the key word here.
I put this together using layers, my imagination, combining graphics and photos.
I hope this picture will appeal to your imagination.

These are a few of the drawings and photos that I have done over the years.
Keep an eye on this page and I will add to it every now and then.

From Curator Freya:
Jessie has original ideas and works in a variety of styles.
I admire her work and thought she should have a private wing.
She has sent in more of her work which is on display in
