A Gentle Cat

Henri of Twin Brook
Henri, was above all, a GentleCat
I, Clarence of Beldon, have known Henri of Twin Brook since, well...,
before he was Henri. When we met he was called Happy and lived on Beldon
Street across from me. His person did not care for him properly. When
a male person moved in with a dog, Happy was booted outside. Over the
years he lost his affection for his first family. After years on the
street he moved into a home where they believed cats belong in warmth
and comfort. He adapted well to the house on Twin Brook Road and took
on the name Henry. But, ashamed of his past on the street, he used the
French spelling in hopes of sounding more sophisticated. Thus, we have
Henri of Twin Brook.
Henri soon stood out as a wise cat who stood above
simple cat fights and squabbles. He negotiated differences between his
housemates. He patiently put up with puppy Ashley. He did not get angry
when kitten Stella bit his tail. He was respectful to cat Helen. He
was friends with all species, especially Raymond Hazelwitz Rodent Activist.
Indeed, a true Gentlecat.
Henri started his first web site in January 2005. He had been housesmates
with Desdemona, Famous Cat Author who was published on Claw. He studied
HTML since he wanted complete control of his site, not restricted by
a Web Publishing program. His two web sites were read far and wide.
Who would guess a bunch of cats in Hungary would be regular readers?
Henri was my closest friend. I will miss him.
