Saturday Veterinary Adventure

This past Saturday Pippin and Sam went to the vet. Pippin for his yearly physical and Sam for a kitten shot and checkup. Pippin did not want to go. He ran upstairs to hide in the computer/kitty room! Meowmie closed the door but Sam came in. Then Mommies caught Pippin and put him in the carrier, Sam was only to happy to go with Pippin.

On the way to the vet Pippin used his deep voice. Yowl, Yowl! And of course Sam chimed right in with a baby meow! Pippin was teaching Sam to yowl!

At the vet Pippin did not want to come out of the carrier, it took Mommies and the tech to pull him out. Pippin weighed 16 lbs and had his blood tested. Of course he was a good boy while the vet tech drew his blood. Pippin got a shot and he was a good boy when he got it, Pippin also got his nails trimmed.

Then it was Sam's turn. Everyone made over Sam! Remember, he was adopted from this very hospital and everyone know him. Now he is a big boy of 3 lbs. He was only 1.56 lbs. when he was adopted. Everything looks good. However, Sam's stool sample had hookworms. Right then in the room, the vet gave Sam some de wormer. Pippin also got a de wormer drink. For a precaution the vet gave Mommie some med's for Pumpkin, Casey and April. Then in 2 weeks, Pumpkin, Casey, Pippin and April get another de wormer drink. Saturday August 1st, Sam is going back to the vet for another shot and de wormer. Back to Saturday, Pumpkin and Casey did not like the d wormer drink, they fought Mommie, but April drank it like a good girl.

We still love Sam, and maybe we can meow about his Saturday, August 1st adventure to the vet. In September or October he will get neutered.
