Astrology for Cats

Meow All and Welcome.

My name is Taurus and I am so pleased to be doing book reviews for the Zine. My first book review is going to be on Astrology For Cats.

Astrology For Cats was written by Joyce Jillson and Illustrated by Ronald Lipking

This book is informative and yet fun. It can teach your humans how to determine sun signs and understand the character of us cats! Tuning into cat astrology will give our humans better insight into us and why we do the things we do and it makes for happier living situations and even though our humans already appreciate us by reading and understanding this book they will appreciate us even more!

The first step in cat astrology is to determine the birthdate. If our humans got us from a breeder that part is easy but if not then I suggest that your humans give you your date of birth by using the date you moved in with them. Once you do this then the rest is easy.

I would like to share with all of you insight into some of the cat astrology signs and the meanings.

Aries March 21- April 19 - Ruling Planet - Mars planet of passion. Did you know the Aries cat is opinionated and responds in conversation both vocally and through body language. Cat Idol - Jaguar. The Aries cat symbol is the Ram- fearless and ambitious. Worst Feature- killing birds. Best Feature - confident posture. Favorite Food- blood-rare meat. Favorite Sport- climbing shelves.

Taurus - April 20- May 20 - Ruling Planet- Venus beauty and pleasure. Did you know Taurus cats can make a terrific parent and the mothers tend to have small litters. Cat Idol- Lynx. The Taurus cat symbol is the Bull- determined and consistent. Worst Feature-doing what the humans tell us not to do over and over. Best Feature- Distinctive meow. Favorite Sport- pacing.

Leo- July 23-August 22 - Ruling Planet- Sun the star we revolve around. Did you know that Leo cats love praise. When your human praises a Leo cat with even the smallest gesture for good behavior she will do it again and again. Cat Idol- MGM Lion. The Leo cat symbol is the Lion proud and powerful. Worst feature- being careless about using the litterbox. Best Feature- regal way of sitting. Favorite Sport - looking in the mirror.

These are just a few exerpts from the book. The book goes into much more detail about each cat sign and does it with a sense of humor and compassion and caring. Your human will be surprised how much they can learn from this book about cats and there minds and how they work.
