Honeymoon House
This is a very old, one room cabin which we call the "Honeymoon House." It's about 1/4 mile east of our house and we can see it from our deck. We've been told that it was built by a young couple around the turn of the century and they lived in it until they could afford a larger home.
The interior of the cabin is about 12'x12'. It has a small loft and crude shelves built into two corners. There was also a pot bellied stove, which we assume the young couple used for heating and cooking.
We store cattle feed in it now. There's an old windmill and a pole barn near the cabin. Although this was in Rascal's and Ditcher's territory, none of the other Crowley Cats ever go there. Well ... none of them except Frenchie. He's been up there once since he came to live with us, but he doesn't seem to have any interest in returning. It's possible that he spent a night or two in the cabin, before he came to our yard.
